Livability
“I’m running to protect what makes Yamhill County special. That means safe neighborhoods, reliable infrastructure, strong schools, and open spaces where families can thrive. As a small business owner and budget committee member, I know that good government doesn’t mean more government—it means the right priorities. I’ll fight to make sure growth is thoughtful, not rushed, and that the decisions we make today protect our quality of life tomorrow.”

Public safety
“As a small business owner and longtime budget committee member, I’ve seen firsthand how much of our limited local funding is devoted to public safety—nearly 70% of our discretionary budget. I fully support law enforcement and the vital work they do. I’ll fight for strategic investments in prevention, emergency response, and victim services, while pushing back on bloated costs, unfunded mandates, and state policies that put our deputies and communities at risk.”

the next generation
“Not every kid needs to go to a four-year university to succeed—and that’s okay. I built my life through hard work, hands-on learning, and real-world experience. We need to do more to support vocational education, job training, and apprenticeships so that every young person in Yamhill County can build a future they’re proud of. Whether it’s welding, coding, nursing, or the trades—our youth deserve opportunity, not just debt.”

land use
“I believe land use decisions are some of the most important work of a county commissioner. I support common-sense, locally driven growth that protects farmland, respects property rights, and keeps our small towns livable. We need to continue careful consideration of land use changes coming from the State and from ballot measures. Let’s plan with intention—not political pressure.”
