meet jason…
Jason Fields is a lifelong Oregonian who grew up in Portland and graduated from Rex Putnam High School. Raised in humble circumstances, Jason learned the value of hard work early—picking berries, mowing lawns, and washing dishes to help support his family. His early experiences forged a deep understanding of what it means to struggle, and a lifelong commitment to creating better opportunities for working families.
Over the years, Jason built a successful career as both a salesman and small business owner. He’s the founder of Rare Air MFG, where he manufactures and ships custom parts for classic Volkswagens around the world. He also works as an independent contractor selling tow trucks across Oregon and Washington. Whether it’s turning wrenches or navigating sales negotiations, Jason brings a practical, can-do spirit to every challenge. His passion for problem-solving has fueled a career rooted in resilience, grit, and service to others.
Jason has been with the love of his life Andrea for over 25 years, and together they’ve built a life centered on family, faith, and community. He’s a proud father and grandfather, a country music singer, and an award-winning car builder. When he’s not working or spending time with his loved ones, Jason is serving Yamhill County on the Citizen Budget Committee and as an elected board member for Chehalem Parks & Recreation District (CPRD). As he runs for Yamhill County Commissioner, Jason brings a grounded, community-first perspective—and a deep love for Oregon and the people who call it home.
